Oriental Motor now sells BLE2 Series brushless motor-driver sets for high performing and energy-efficient speed control. The BLE2 Series replaces the widely used Oriental Motor BLE Series motion offerings … and offers enhanced advantages of brushless-motor operation.

In fact, the BLE2 Series brushless motor-driver offerings feature an all-new compact (and high-power and efficient) brushless dc motor that pairs with a driver that can be digitally set and controlled via external dc voltage or by a front panel. The new motor structure is smaller than previous models and enables high power and high efficiency while incorporating easy setup, installation, and wiring.

The BLE2 Series can easily compete with larger three-phase inverter-driven motors in myriad applications thanks to a simple built-in holding-torque function. Using a BLE2 Series setup saves space and boosts performance — again, thanks to the advantages of a brushless motor design. The BLE2 Series has a maximum speed of 4,000 rpm (with a speed ratio of 1:50 for 80 to 4,000 rpm). A new motor connector is rated to IP66 and simplifies direct connection between motor and driver with two possible orientations of cable outlet direction. Stainless-steel shafting is standard for rust prevention and corrosion resistance.

More specifically, IP66 rated versions are available in round-shaft variations; combination-type parallel-shaft variations; and right-angle hollow-shaft geared models. Other variations include 30 W (1/25 hp), 60 W (1/12 hp), 120 W (1/6 hp) and 200 W (1/4 hp) models. Other BLE2 Series features include advanced performance and features with easy-to-use controls; a mode for torque control; an IP66 industrial connector; and imperial or metric output shafts.
