Frameless brushless dc motors are on the rise thanks to industries such as robotics, aerospace, medical devices, and even handheld power tools … all contributing to a skyrocketing growth of this technology predicted to generate close to $14B by 2033. Appreciated for their space saving properties, high torque, smooth motion, and high efficiency, these motors have become a suitable choice for many applications.
Delta Line has experience in designing motion solutions driven by frameless BLDC motors and is now expanding its portfolio with the addition of the smallest member of the family the new 38BLF07 with only 38mm outer diameter. This model will complement the manufacturer’s existing range with sizes 38, 50, 70, 85 and 115 mm available to satisfy various application needs.
The 38BLF07 motor has a length of just 14 mm with a rated torque of 0.1Nm at rated speed of 8,000 rpm and can produce a peak torque of 0.3 Nm. With only 57 g of weight, this motor has been designed to minimize inertia, making it a suitable solution for dynamic movements with high acceleration and deceleration rates.
A company statement on the offering: This miniature powerhouse is a testament to our commitment to continuous innovation and meeting the evolving needs of our customers. The 38BLF07 has been developed to meet the space and performance requirements of handheld power tools, precision medical devices and space-constrained robotics, where high torque, efficiency, and compact size are extremely important. The frameless design means these motors are easily integrated directly into a device or machine, so overall efficiency is maximized while footprint can be kept as small as possible.
