With the gearbox series PLG 40 LB, PLG 60 LB and PLG 80 LB, Dunkermotoren now sells three new low-backlash planetary gearboxes. The maximum backlash is between 7 and 19 arc-min. depending on gear ratio. These low-backlash planetary gearboxes can transmit nominal torque of up to 92 Nm and an acceleration torque of up to 184 Nm. More after the jump.

The gearboxes excel in applications where low backlash is necessary, for example in positioning tasks. These servo grade gearboxes utilize whole integer reductions and have a very long life expectancy.

The PLG Low Backlash series gearboxes pair well with Dunkermotoren BG series BLDC motors and the manufacturer’s programmable integrated controller. The Dunkermotoren complete motion solution is cost sensitive and suitable for dynamic performance, positional accuracy and superior lifetime which is typical of AC servo applications.
